Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these cheesy mashed potato balls are a perfect snack or side dish.

- 2 cups chilled mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chilled mashed potatoes, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Using your hands or a cookie scoop, roll the potato mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Pour breadcrumbs into a shallow dish and roll each ball until coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place potato balls in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer to a plate and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs or sautéed vegetables. Serve with marinara or a cheese sauce for dipping.
