Description

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these cheesy mashed potato balls are a perfect snack or side dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chilled mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chilled mashed potatoes, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  2. Using your hands or a cookie scoop, roll the potato mixture into 1-inch balls.
  3. Pour breadcrumbs into a shallow dish and roll each ball until coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  5. Place potato balls in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer to a plate and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs or sautéed vegetables. Serve with marinara or a cheese sauce for dipping.
