- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it.
- Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and spread softened butter on top.
- Fold the dough and cut it into strips, then twist and shape into cruffins.
- Place the cruffins in a muffin tin and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and brush the cruffins with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooled, fill the cruffins with almond cream.

- Ensure the butter is at room temperature for easy spreading.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the almond cream.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
