Description

Almond Cream Filled Cruffins are a delightful pastry that combines the flaky texture of croissants with a rich almond cream filling, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the milk and dissolve the yeast in it.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread softened butter on top.
  7. Fold the dough and cut it into strips, then twist and shape into cruffins.
  8. Place the cruffins in a muffin tin and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and brush the cruffins with egg wash.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Once cooled, fill the cruffins with almond cream.
