Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While the brownies are baking, prepare the buttercream by beating together the softened butter, powdered sugar, Baileys, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  8. Once the brownies are cooled, spread the Baileys buttercream on top and cut into squares.
