Description
A delicious appetizer featuring crispy phyllo pastry filled with creamy feta cheese and fresh spinach, drizzled with hot honey for a sweet and spicy kick.

- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup hot honey
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine feta cheese, spinach, ricotta cheese, dill, and green onions.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush with melted butter.
- Place another sheet of phyllo on top and brush with more butter.
- Cut the phyllo into strips about 3 inches wide.
- Place a tablespoon of the filling at one end of each strip and roll it up tightly, folding in the sides to seal.
- Place the rolled cigars on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out.
- Hot honey can be adjusted to taste; add more for extra heat.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
