Description

Banana Foster Dessert Lasagna is a delicious layered dessert that combines the flavors of banana foster with creamy layers, making it a perfect treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of graham crackers
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of mascarpone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of rum (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until bubbly.
  2. Add the sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are caramelized. Remove from heat and stir in rum if using.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, mascarpone cheese, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a 9×13 inch dish, layer graham crackers at the bottom.
  5. Spread half of the cream mixture over the graham crackers.
  6. Add half of the caramelized banana mixture on top of the cream layer.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining graham crackers, cream mixture, and banana mixture.
  8. Top with chopped walnuts if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum.
  • Make sure to use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
