Description

Beef and Cheese Stuffed Shells are a hearty and delicious dish filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese, all baked in a rich marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff each cooked shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
  6. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling for extra nutrition.
  • These shells can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
