- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each cooked shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling for extra nutrition.
- These shells can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
