- 1 pound of breakfast sausage
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the biscuit package instructions.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
- Remove the sausage and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the cooked sausage back into the skillet and stir to combine.
- Cut the biscuits into quarters and place them on top of the sausage and gravy mixture.
- Bake in the oven for the time specified on the biscuit package until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sausage while cooking.
