Description

A rich and decadent chocolate tart featuring a unique black cat design, perfect for chocolate lovers and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer.
  6. Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.
  8. Combine the chocolate mixture with the egg mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  9. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  11. Let the tart cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For a decorative touch, use a stencil to create a black cat design on top of the tart with powdered sugar.
  • Serve with whipped cream or fresh berries for added flavor.
