Description

Deliciously rich cookies made with brown butter, bourbon, pecans, and chocolate chunks for a decadent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  5. Add the bourbon, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chunks.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  11. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
