- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the bourbon, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chunks.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a stronger bourbon flavor, increase the amount of bourbon slightly.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
- These cookies can be frozen for up to three months.
