Deliciously crunchy on the outside with a melting, savory cheese and spicy chicken filling, perfect for game day or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese, cut into cubes
- 6 slices Cooked Bacon, crumbled
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 large Eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, crumbled bacon, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Fold in the cubes of mozzarella cheese, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture, flatten it in your hand, and place a cube of mozzarella in the center, then wrap the mixture around it to form a ball.
- Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Dredge each bomb in flour, dip in the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pot. Fry the bombs for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the bombs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let cool before serving.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces like ranch or extra buffalo sauce.
Notes
Prepare the filling a day ahead and store it in the refrigerator. Optionally, bake or air fry for a healthier alternative.
