Description

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer the mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil on top of the bread in the skillet.
  5. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the toppings.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt and pepper to the tomatoes.
