A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer the mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil on top of the bread in the skillet.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the toppings.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt and pepper to the tomatoes.
- Use a panini press for a crispier sandwich.
- Feel free to add avocado or pesto for additional taste.
