- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and spread brown sugar and chopped pecans on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place the slices in a greased baking dish and pour caramel sauce over them.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cinnamon to the filling.
- These buns are best served warm.
