- 1 loaf of bread (preferably sourdough or Italian)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Slice the loaf of bread in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Drizzle the garlic butter mixture generously into the cuts of the bread.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese into the cuts of the bread.
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add herbs like oregano or thyme.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
