Description

Cheesy Jalapeño Popper Wontons are a delicious and crispy snack filled with a creamy cheese mixture and spicy jalapeños, perfect for parties or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder until well mixed.
  2. Place a teaspoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wonton with water and fold to seal, forming a triangle or a pocket.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the wontons in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a milder version, use fewer jalapeños or remove the seeds.
  • These can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
  • Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
