- 2 Grilled Chicken Breasts, Sliced
- 1 Ripe Avocado, Mashed
- 4 Slices of Cheese (Cheddar or Your Choice)
- 4 Slices of Bread (Whole Grain or Sourdough)
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Butter (for Grilling)
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread mashed avocado on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer sliced grilled chicken and cheese on half of the bread slices.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Top with the other slices of bread, avocado side down.
- Butter the outside of the sandwiches.
- Grill on the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prep the grilled chicken in advance. Possible substitutions for the chicken can include turkey or grilled vegetables for a vegetarian option.
