- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, mixing until well coated.
- Fold in the cherry pie filling gently.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies treats.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
