- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar until combined and allow the mixture to cool.
- Beat in 4 large eggs one at a time, followed by 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Fold gently until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Melt 8 oz of semi-sweet chocolate with 1 cup of heavy cream. Stir gently until fully melted.
- Let the mixture cool slightly and gently fold it into whipped cream (whip an additional 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form).
- Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings or cocoa.
