- 200g kunafa dough
- 100g melted butter
- 150g ground pistachios
- 200g dark chocolate
- 100g sugar
- 250ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Pour the melted butter over the kunafa dough and gently mix until coated.
- Spread half of the buttered kunafa mixture into a greased baking dish, pressing down firmly.
- Combine ground pistachios and sugar in a bowl and sprinkle over the first layer of kunafa.
- Melt dark chocolate with milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour half of the chocolate mixture over the pistachio layer.
- Add the remaining kunafa mixture over the fillings and press down gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle the remaining chocolate mixture over the baked kunafa before serving.
Notes
For best texture, allow butter to cool slightly before mixing, and keep ingredients at room temperature. Can be customized with other nuts or spices.
