Description

A creamy pasta dish featuring al dente penne, tender chicken, and a rich sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces Chicken Breast (Boneless and skinless)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 12 oz Penne Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add penne, and cook until al dente (10-12 minutes). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
  2. Season & Sear the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and basil. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Create the Sauce: Remove chicken, let rest, then slice. In the same skillet, melt butter, add heavy cream, and scrape the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine Pasta, Chicken, and Sauce: Add cooked penne and sliced chicken to the sauce, stir well. Add reserved pasta water until desired consistency. Stir in Parmesan until melted.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately, with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider including vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes. Make-ahead tips are also available for busy nights.
