Description

Delicious crispy salmon bites coated in panko breadcrumbs and tossed in a sweet, spicy Bang Bang sauce, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce by whisking mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and lime juice together until smooth.
  2. Set up the breading station with flour mixture in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
  3. Bread each piece of salmon by coating it in flour, dipping it in egg, and rolling it in panko.
  4. Heat enough oil in a skillet to reach about 1/4 inch deep and heat it over medium heat.
  5. Fry the salmon bites in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain the fried bites on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Toss the crispy bites in the Bang Bang Sauce or serve the sauce on the side.
  8. Serve on a platter and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier version, use an air fryer or bake at 425°F (220°C). Make the sauce ahead of time and store it in the fridge.
