Description

Crispy exteriors with a creamy mashed potato center, these bites are a delightful snack or appetizer that everyone will love.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the mashed potatoes and shredded cheese with chopped green onions. Add the beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into small bites or patties.
  3. Dredge each bite in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the potato bites in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

Freezing the shaped bites is an option. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for a healthier alternative.
