  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef or Italian sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in chicken or vegetable broth, crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and dried oregano. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
