Description

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or dill for decoration
  • Cherry tomatoes for ornaments
  • Small pieces of bell pepper for garland

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot of cold water, bringing it to a boil, then covering and letting sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs in ice water, then peel and slice them in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. If desired, add green food coloring to the yolk mixture to achieve a festive green color.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture, forming a tree shape by stacking the halves slightly offset.
  6. Decorate the trees with chopped parsley or dill for the branches, cherry tomatoes for ornaments, and bell pepper pieces for garland.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
