Description

Juicy pork chops enveloped in a rich and creamy garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (additional, for garnishing)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Pinch Red pepper flakes (for heat)
  • 12 sprigs Thyme or rosemary (fresh)
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest (for bright flavor)
  • 2 tbsp Sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Season the chops: Generously sprinkle salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides of the pork chops. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chops: Carefully add the pork chops, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they achieve a golden-brown crust.
  4. Add aroma: Reduce heat to medium. Mix in 3 tablespoons of butter and 4 cloves of minced garlic into the skillet, stirring gently for about 1 minute.
  5. Create the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Coat the chops: Return the pork chops to the pan, ensuring each is fully coated. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Serve and garnish: Serve the pork chops on plates, garnishing with fresh parsley, a sprinkle of lemon zest, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Notes

Experiment with adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition. Ensure to not overcook the pork to keep it juicy.
