Description

A delightful and festive red velvet poke cake that is perfect for celebrations and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to package instructions, mixing in eggs, water, and vegetable oil.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
  6. In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and pour it over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.
  7. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake.
  9. Decorate with red sprinkles.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the cake mix.
