- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the red velvet cake mix according to package instructions, mixing in eggs, water, and vegetable oil.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
- In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk and pour it over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake.
- Decorate with red sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the cake mix.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
