Instructions
- Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stovetop and place them in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Once boiling, let it cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract. Add food coloring if desired.
- Pour the candy mixture over the popcorn and stir until evenly coated.
- Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, break into pieces and serve.
