Description
A delicious twist on classic sloppy joes, served on garlic bread for an extra burst of flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of garlic bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the mixture simmers, toast the garlic bread in the oven until golden brown.
- Once the sloppy joe mixture is ready, spoon it onto the toasted garlic bread.
- Top each serving with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return to the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the meat mixture.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Can be served with a side salad for a complete meal.
