Description

A mouthwatering ribeye steak seared to perfection, drenched in a rich garlic butter and Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces ribeye steaks (About 1-inch thick, 8 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter until bubbly.
  3. Sear the steaks undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until a brown crust forms.
  4. Flip the steaks and add the remaining butter and minced garlic, cooking for another 4-5 minutes.
  5. Rest the steaks on a plate for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
  6. Make the sauce by lowering the heat and whisking in heavy cream, scraping browned bits from the skillet.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese and whisk until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
  8. Plate the sliced steaks, drizzle with cream sauce, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: You can prepare the sauce a day in advance and reheat it before serving.
