Description

A spooky and delicious chocolate mousse perfect for Halloween celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Slowly add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture, stirring continuously.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
  6. Pour the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Before serving, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute eggs with aquafaba and use dairy-free chocolate.
