Description

Gingerbread Latte Mousse Domes are a delightful dessert that combines the flavors of gingerbread and coffee in a creamy mousse form, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • Chocolate for coating (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine brewed coffee, sugar, and spices over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the coffee mixture into the whipped cream until well combined.
  6. In silicone dome molds, layer crushed gingerbread cookies at the bottom.
  7. Pour the mousse mixture over the cookies, filling the molds.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  9. If desired, melt chocolate and coat the outside of the mousse domes before serving.
  10. Unmold and serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream or additional crushed cookies.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
  • Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved to avoid lumps in the mousse.
  • These domes can be made a day in advance for convenience.
