Description

A beautifully glazed ham that combines smoky-salty flavors with sweet caramelized sugars and zesty citrus notes, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 to 10-pound) fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan, cut-side down.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, orange juice, pineapple juice, honey, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon; whisk until smooth.
  4. Generously brush the glaze over the ham.
  5. Loosely cover the ham with foil and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  6. Remove foil during the last 30 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  7. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Prepare the glaze a day in advance. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham reaches 140°F (60°C) before serving.
