Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and stir in 2/3 cup of the crispy fried onions.
  7. Top with the remaining fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
