  • 2 tablespoons chipotle in adobo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the chipotle in adobo sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bowl and ensure they’re fully coated with the marinade. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Set your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Place each marinated chicken breast on the grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, flipping gently.
  5. Check for Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, aiming for 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let it Rest: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve and Garnish: Slice the grilled chicken or serve it whole with lime wedges and fresh cilantro.
