- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam (for filling)
- 2 cups buttercream frosting
- Red food coloring (for decoration)
- Chocolate vampire teeth (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before filling.
- Using a small knife, cut a cone shape out of the center of each cupcake and fill with raspberry jam.
- Frost the cupcakes with buttercream frosting and add red food coloring for a blood effect.
- Top with chocolate vampire teeth for decoration.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Make sure the cupcakes are completely cool before filling to prevent the jam from melting.
