Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced potatoes, diced ham, sautéed onions and garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. In another bowl, mix heavy cream and milk, then pour over the potato mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
