Description

A delicious and easy recipe for honey-glazed baked ham that is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a bowl, mix together honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
  4. Brush the glaze over the ham, making sure to get it into the scored areas.
  5. Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze.
  7. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  8. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter glaze, add more honey.
  • Leftover ham can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • This recipe can be adapted for smaller or larger hams by adjusting the glaze ingredients accordingly.
