Description

A delightful dish combining golden honey mustard chicken with flavorful aromatic rice, perfect for any dinner occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups rice (Jasmine or basmati)
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped herbs for garnish (fresh parsley or chives)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the honey and Dijon mustard in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and drizzle the honey mustard mixture over them, coating evenly.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked through (165°F/75°C).
  5. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and toast the rice for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cover, simmering for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  7. Serve the chicken over the aromatic rice and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Use an air fryer for a quicker, crispy result.
