Description

A creamy, comforting dish featuring succulent chicken glazed in a honey sauce with a hint of spice, served over penne pasta.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (bite-sized)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the bite-sized chicken pieces with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, honey, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring to coat in the sauce.
  7. Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix until creamy.
  8. Add cooked penne to the skillet and toss to combine.
  9. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Can be customized with veggies or made ahead of time. Adjust spice levels to taste.
