A delightful Hawaiian dish featuring tender grilled chicken thighs marinated in a luscious blend of soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger, creating an unforgettable culinary experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by combining soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs by placing them in a resealable bag, pouring the marinade over, sealing the bag, and refrigerating for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest briefly, then garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate overnight for maximum flavor. Cooking alternatives include baking or air frying.
