Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
- Caramelize the onions by adding the thinly sliced onions, cooking undisturbed for about 10-12 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Cook the ground beef in the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully browned.
- Combine Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and a pinch of thyme, letting it all simmer together for 5 minutes.
- Toast the hamburger buns lightly on a skillet or in the oven until golden brown.
- Assemble the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each bun, crown it with shredded Swiss cheese, and add the top half of the bun.
- Serve while warm, inviting everyone to dig in.
