Description

Jalapeño Popper Taquitos are a delicious and spicy snack made with creamy cheese, jalapeños, and crispy tortillas, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until well mixed.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture onto each tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortillas tightly to form taquitos.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra heat, use more jalapeños or add some hot sauce to the cheese mixture.
  • These can be baked instead of fried for a healthier option.
  • Serve with guacamole or sour cream for dipping.
