Description

Japanese Katsu Bowls are a delicious and satisfying dish featuring crispy breaded meat served over rice with a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup tonkatsu sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the breaded chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
