- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients by bringing the steak to room temperature and mincing the garlic.
- Sear the steak in a hot cast iron skillet for 4-5 minutes until a golden crust forms.
- Incorporate the minced garlic on top of the steak during the last minute of cooking.
- Rest the steak on a cutting board for about 5 minutes.
- Create the sauce by melting butter in the skillet and adding heavy cream; simmer until thickened.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve with the creamy garlic sauce and parsley garnish.
Notes
For a lighter option, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. You can also prepare the creamy garlic sauce in advance and reheat before serving.
