Description

Savory and sweet Korean BBQ Meatballs, a delightful blend of flavors with a crispy exterior and juicy center, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated ginger, and black pepper. Mix gently until everything is blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix gochujang with a little water to create a glaze. Brush the glaze over each meatball.
  5. Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (70°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and brush with extra glaze if desired. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. This recipe also shines in an air fryer; adjust cooking time to 10-15 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
