Description

A delicious Lebanese dish featuring marinated chicken skewers served with a creamy garlic sauce known as toum.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup garlic toum (garlic sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken cubes to the marinade and let it sit for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve the chicken tawook with garlic toum on the side.
