Description

A deliciously crispy chicken dish coated in Parmesan and Italian herbs, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried herbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl until well beaten.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, then coat with the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet and drizzle olive oil over the top.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer (internal temperature should be 165°F/75°C).
  8. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture. This dish can also be prepared in an air fryer.
