Description

Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts is a delicious side dish that combines the sweetness of maple syrup with the savory flavor of crispy bacon, perfectly complementing the earthy taste of Brussels sprouts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chopped bacon to the bowl and mix well.
  4. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the bacon is crispy.
  6. Drizzle the maple syrup over the Brussels sprouts and bacon, then return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and add nuts for crunch.
  • Adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your sweetness preference.
