- 4 slices of thick-cut bacon
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup

- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt & 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt to prepare the marinade.
- Coat pork chops evenly in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat or heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- For grilling: Grill pork chops for 4-6 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
- For pan-searing: Sear pork chops for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to make a roux, cooking for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth. Allow to thicken for about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper; reduce heat and simmer for another minute.
- Place pork chops on plates and drizzle with dijon sauce before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate pork chops the night before. Rest cooked pork to keep it juicy.
