Maple Glazed Cinnamon Knots are a deliciously sweet and sticky treat, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm; add to dry ingredients.
- Add egg and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Shape the dough into knots and place on a baking sheet.
- Let the knots rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix maple syrup and powdered sugar for the glaze and drizzle over warm knots.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- These knots can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture.
