- 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange bacon in a single layer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, water, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, then pour over the bacon.
- Bake the bacon for 20-25 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
- While bacon cools, slice the baguette into 1/2-inch rounds, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
- Toast baguette slices in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Spread goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice, top with bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup, garnishing with thyme, chives, and candied pecans.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
You can prepare the bacon and toast the baguette slices a day in advance. Assemble right before serving for best results.
